As has been common for the last few years, Boveda’s new trade show release is—a new way to hold Bovedas in your humidor. Oddly, while that was the new item for the company at this year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, it wasn’t even the featured item in the booth.

Boveda Acrylic Humidor

Boveda Acrylic Humidor
That main product is the Boveda Acrylic Humidor, a 20-count acrylic humidor that measures 8 1/2 x 5 3/4 x 2 3/4 inches and includes a small shelf at the bottom that can store two large Boveda packets along with air holes that allow for the humidity to reach the cigars above. According to the company, the humidor includes two 69 percent large Boveda packs and retails for $49.97, and is large enough to hold around 20 robustos or 12 churchill-sized cigars. It was launched in April, but supply issues mean the company is now doing a more formal launch.

New Boveda Holders
Boveda released two new options for holding it’s humidity packs in humidors. The company now offers two and four-pack options in both metal and wood that decrease the footprint by stacking the packs on top of one another, instead of side by side. This maximizes the number of Bovedas that can be utilized in the least amount of space.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
