Quesada’s booth this year was much different from last year’s. A little more enclosed, private and extensive the booth’s main centerpiece was a large cylindrical show case that had all the company’s products in it. With semi-difficult to remove plexiglass, the case was delightfully intact unlike last year which had a large number of the cigars handed out from the boxes by the time we got to photograph the booth.
Heisenberg by Quesada
While there wasn’t anything new for the Heisenberg cigar itself, Quesada did have a new display case for the onebox in each size of the line.
Trelos Psaria
Also being shown off was the cigar that they had made with Charlie Moore, a television fishing personality. The company debuted the product in late March, although it’s been limited to the northeastern region. The trade show was considered the cigar’s full launch.
Quesada Petites
A new product this year are the Quesada Petites, a 4 x 25 cigar made with Dominican long filler and an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. They are packaged 10 to a box and retail for $11 per box.
Quesada Big Bang Sampler
The sampler is made up of five big ring gauge cigars. The five-pack is made up of the Oktoberfest The Über (6 x 65), Quesada 40th Anniversary Toro Real (6 x 65), Fonseca Cubano Limitado 665 (6 x 65), Fonseca Cubita Nouveau Gordo (6 x 60) and a new unbanded 6 x 60 made at Quesada Cigars in the Dominican Republic. Each sampler is priced at $29.95 and will come in trays featuring 10 five-packs.
Quesada Oktoberfest
Lastly is the Oktoberfest line. This year Quesada gave the line an updated look with brand new bands and tweaked box art. Matching a little closer to a German beer label, the new band is a little more cohesive with the beer theme the cigar has. Though there is a new 6 3/4 x 50/33 Salomon Press that will be only available at events it wasn’t shown off at the show.
Regius Seleccion Orchant 2014
There will be 600 boxes of a 4 3/4 x 52 robusto and a 5 1/2 x 52 torpedo known as Camapna. It’s a Nicaraguan puro made at Plasencia Cigars S.A.
Quesada Cigars is responsible for the U.S. distribution of both Trelos Psaria and Regius.
