Perdomo kept things fairly low-key in its booth this year, as per the norm in recent years. No music, no flashiness, just a showcase of their solid lines that seem to be selling as well as ever, judging by the steady stream of retailers.

Perdomo Champagne Sun Grown was the featured new release, and the only real new line for that matter. Same sizes, same price points as the existing Champagne lines, something you can read more about here.

Announced in mid-May, the Perdomo 20th Anniversary added a new vitola to both the natural and maduro lines, a 6 1/2 x 48 that is being called a Short Churchill or Corona Extra.

A few new samplers were shown off, including the Grand Cru Crop of 2006 Sampler which contains six 6 x 60s, two each from the Double Maduro, Connecticut Shade Grown and Sun Grown lines. The 20th Anniversary lines also are available via a sampler:

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
