One of the seven House of Emilio brands, Nomad’s IPCPR 2013 was largely about going to Nicaragua. Brand owner Fred Rewey told halfwheel that he was almost overwhelmed about the amount of tobacco options that were presented to him in the country, which explains his next two releases.

Limited to 307 boxes because Rewey held back around 100 for his own personal consumption, it’s somewhat of an interesting release given how new and young Nomad is. That being said, Rewey clearly enjoyed his time in Nicaragua and you get the feeling Nomad might never be leaving Nicaragua.

S-307
This is Rewey’s upcoming release and probably the focus of the company if you see his face light up when talking about Nicaragua. There are three traditional sizes made by A.J. Fernandez using an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. Despite the recent announcement, we won’t see the cigars in store for months.

The Future
Rewey told halfwheel that he didn’t have anything planned in the pipeline from the Dominican Republic, so there’s that. He hopes to double his accounts by the end of the year, which seems likely given how busy the House of Emilio booths.

Correction — a previous version of this article said that Rewey was handing out samples of his S-307 blend, when in fact he was not. We apologize for the error.
