IPCPR 2013: 1502 Cigars

Of all the House of Emilio-distributed brands at IPCPR, there are two companies we didn’t know much about heading into the trade show: 1502 and Guayacan. Enrique Sánchez is behind Global Premium Cigars, the company that produces 1502 was one of the more friendly faces at the show. The company has three lines (Emerald, Ruby and Black Gold), all featuring something called “the cigar lock,” a partially covered foot. You can see it in this video, but basically a small bit of the wrapper is left on the edge in effort to produce more flavor and prevent splitting.

1502 Cigars Booth

The Booth
It was actually the sourthern most booth in the House of Emilio crawl and as such the first one we visited. I’m told there was also rum.

1502 Black Gold

1502 Black Gold El Conquistador
There was one new cigar from 1502 at the show, a 6 x 56 cigar in the company’s 1502 Black line packed in nine-count boxes.  You can see the Conquistador in the far right.
