A new limited edition release from Indianhead Cigars and the vaults of Tabacalera Palma will be hitting store shelves in the coming days, as the company will be sending Seek & Select to stores next week.
The line is made up of two cigars, named Sir and Madam, and while the blends share the same basic components, there is a notable difference in the wrappers. Sir, a 6 1/4 x 52 torpedo, uses a habano claro wrapper, while Madam, a 7 x 52 double corona, uses a higher priming habano wrapper, which gives the leaf a darker color as well as more oiliness. The company isn’t disclosing the wrapper’s country of origin, but the binder and filler are both Dominican, grown by Jochy Blanco. The company describes them as two different cigars that are a perfect pair, hence their names.
The cigar was featured in the company’s recent Black Bag Job project, which selected cigars from the aging rooms of Tabacalera Palma in the Dominican Republic, and now they are getting their own release. Both are sold in packs of five cigars, with Sir priced at $11 per cigar and $55 per pack, while Madam is $12 per cigar and $60 per pack, before taxes. There are 670 packs of Sir and 495 packs of Madam being released.
This is the second of the three cigars featured in the Black Bag Job project to get a wider release, joining Palindrome, a collection of 10 cigars that began shipping in mid-June.
The cigars are set to begin shipping on Tues., July 14.
The number of cigars being released was added to this story shortly after it was published.
