Illusione will add a new size to its Cigares Privé brand that will only be available to retailers who place orders at the 2020 PCA Convention & Trade Show.

The cigar is a 5 1/2 x 56 vitola that has a soft press. It uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Like many Illusiones, it is being made at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A.

“We feel that PCA is at a critical juncture in the way we do business both from an industry stand point, and a Trade Show stand point,” said a statement sent to media from the company. “We want to do our part by incentivizing the retailers to come to the show to not only see the new range of products that are available, and to also take advantage of things you can only get by coming to the show.”

The email stressed that the company would not take orders before or after the PCA Convention & Trade Show. Pricing is also not yet available.

It will be offered in bundles of 10 and will be limited, though the company says it won’t announce production numbers until “just before” the trade show takes place: July 11-14, 2020 in Las Vegas. Dion Giolito, Illusione’s founder, told halfwheel the cigars will begin shipping July 11.
