HVC Cigars latest release is made entirely of grade A tobacco and as such, appropriately called Serie A.

It’s a three vitola line, though one will be an exclusive size to R. Field Wine Co. of Hawaii. That size, a 5 x 50 robusto, will launch at an event on April 5, while the other two sizes will debut at the 2019 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in late June. As for the blend, it uses AGANORSA’s Nicaraguan tobacco, highlighted by a corojo 99 wrapper.

  • HVC Serie A Robusto (5 x 50) — $9.60 (Boxes of 10, $96)
  • HVC Serie A Cañonazos (5 1/2 x 54)
  • HVC Serie A Perlas (5 5/8 x 46)

Only the HVC Serie A Robusto will be on hand for the Hawaii event. It has a suggested retail price of $9.60 per cigar, though will likely retail for more given Hawaii’s high state taxes on cigars.

Reinier Lorenzo, HVC’s founder, will be on hand for the event. He told halfwheel pricing for the other sizes has not been finalized.

Production is being handled by Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) in Estelí, Nicaragua.

Davidoff is the official sponsor of halfwheel's coverage of the 2019 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.
