The newest size of the HVC Black Friday is off to stores.
HVC’s Black Friday 2020, a 5 5/8 x 46 corona gorda, will begin shipping to stores today. It uses an Ecuadorian habano café wrapper over corojo 99 and criollo 98 binders. The company says it is “went heavier” on tobaccos from the Jalapa region for the binder and the filler. The exception for the filler is the ligero, which is from AGANORSA’s Chilamate farm in Estelí.
It is priced at $7.50 per cigar and limited to 500 boxes of 50 cigars.
This is the first of two Black Fridays being released this year. The other is a 3 1/2 x 50, named Black Friday Firecracker, that is being produced for United Cigar Group and will be sold through that company. That cigar will begin shipping the second week of November.
The HVC Black Friday has been an annual release since 2015. It is named after the annual shopping holiday that takes place the day after Thanksgiving.
