In 2019, HVC released the 500 Years Anniversary line to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Havana, Cuba. Now, the company is adding a new size to the line.

The HVC 500 Years Anniversary Salomon is a 6 3/4 x 56 perfecto. Like the rest of the line, it will use a corojo 99 wrapper from Jalapa, a binder from Jalapa and criollo 98 and corojo 99 fillers. Notably, the cigar will be rolled at Fábrica de Tabacos HVC S.A. de Reinier Lorenzo, the company’s new factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

There are currently two other regular production sizes of the HVC 500 Years Anniversary offered:

A third size, the 4 1/2 x 52 Shorts, was made as an exclusive for Privada Cigar Club.

Interestingly, both the Tesoros and Selectos will continue to be rolled at AGANORSA Leaf’s Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A. factory, which is where they have been made since being introduced.

MSRP for the Salomon is set at $13.50 per cigar and it will come in boxes of 15 cigars. HVC says it will be sold exclusively to retailers who place orders at the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place July 9-12 in Las Vegas.
