In 2021, HVC celebrated its 10th anniversary like how many cigar companies celebrate a major anniversary, with a limited edition cigar called the HVC 10th Anniversary.

Now the company is preparing to release a second size of that blend. It’s called the HVC 10th Anniversary 54, a 5 x 54 robusto extra size. Like the original, it is a Nicaraguan puro that uses a corojo 99 wrapper over corojo 99, corojo 2012 and criollo 98 fillers. One other change compared to the original; this cigar will be made at the company’s Fábrica de Tabacos HVC S.A. de Reinier Lorenzo, which opened in 2022, whereas the original 6 1/2 x 50 size was made at Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A., the factory best known as TABSA. Both factories are located in Estelí, Nicaragua.

The MSRP for the 10th Anniversary 54 is set at $13.90 per cigar and it will be sold in boxes of 10 cigars. HVC says it will begin shipping the cigars during the second week of May.

Its name is a reference to the cigar’s ring gauge.
