Humidor Supreme, part of the Quality Importers Trading Co. portfolio of brands, is taking a modern design approach to furniture-style humidors with the upcoming release of its latest humidor, the Balthazar.

The humidor, which measures 22 inches x 15 x 33.5, is capable of holding an estimated 542 toros or 1,024 coronas. The company says the Balthazar’s design language takes a more minimalistic approach, stripped of ornamental features and instead focusing on clean lines with subtle details allowing the piece to fit discreetly in any space.

The Balthazar features a glass top lid to allow for a look into the kiln-dried Spanish cedar interior. The lid comes with the brand’s SureSeal technology to adeptly control air flow in and out of the humidor. A pair of cigar trays with two dividers sit directly under the lid, and each tray is capable of holding 96 toros or 192 coronas.

Underneath the tray is a large area for storage of boxes or additional single cigars, with dividers available to help with organization. A felt-lined accessories drawer offers storage for lighters, cutters and other accessories, while an additional compartment provides a place to store extra two-way humidity packs.

The Humidor Supreme Balthazar is available in either a black oak or walnut veneer finish, each with chrome hardware that includes a hygrometer and thermometer, the lock’s faceplate, drawer handle and carrying handles on the side.

The Humidor Supreme Balthazar has an MSRP of $659.99 and is scheduled to begin shipping in November. They will also be on display at the 2021 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which runs from July 10-13.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
