Hiram & Solomon has announced that it has entered into an agreement with SZ Wholesale to make the Bensalem, Pa. company its exclusive U.S. distributor.

“We are excited to partner with SZ Wholesale and further our mission of bringing everyone together in the harmony of an excellent cigar,” said Fouad and Romy Kashouty of Hiram & Solomon in a press release. “We are thrilled to partner with a vibrant distributor that understands our brand and is flexible to our needs and requirements, and will provide an excellent service to our family of retailers in the USA.”

SZ Wholesale is a wholesaler for a number of premium cigar brands, as well as cigar accessory companies. In late April 2022, the company was named the exclusive U.S. distributor of Reinado Cigars.

“Fouad and I have been friends for a long time, and I am excited to work with him to help take Hiram & Solomon to the next level,” said Sahil Ambani, president of SZ Wholesale, in a press release. “We will strive to leverage our distribution channels to provide outstanding service to Hiram & Solomon’s existing and future customers.”

This is the third major announcement that Hiram & Solomon has made regarding its portfolio this year; in early June the company announced it had ended its relationship with Blanco Cigar Co., which included importation, warehousing, order fulfillment, billing and administrative responsibilities. Just about two weeks later, the company announced that it had moved all of its production to PDR Cigars.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
