As the XIX Festival del Habano kicks off in Havana, Cuba, Habanos S.A. has confirmed a variety of new releases.

Just as it looked in the leaked release list in August, two brands are getting special attention this year: Montecristo and Quai d’Orsay.

Three new sizes in Montecristo will all wear a special Linea 1935 band, though each size has a band unique to its size, along with a third foot band.

The three sizes are:

  • Montecristo Dumas — 5 1/8 (130mm) x 49 — Boxes of 20
  • Montecristo Leyenda — 6 1/2 (165mm) x 55 — Boxes of 20
  • Montecristo Maltes — 6 (153mm) x 53 — Boxes of 20

It’s a similar story at Quai d’Orsay, though Habanos S.A. is updating packaging across all of the brand’s relatively small portfolio. In fact, Habanos S.A. is doubling the brand’s vitolas from two to four.

Quai d’Orsay No. 50 & No. 54
Habanos S.A. will be adding:

  • Quai d’Orsay No. 50 — 4 1/3 (110mm) x 50
  • Quai d’Orsay No. 54 — 5 3/10 (135mm) x 54

Those sizes were previously listed as Gourmet and Alma respectively. It was originally said the cigars would come in both boxes of 10 and 25, though that has not been confirmed.

Like the Montecristo, the new Quai d’Orsay packaging includes the unique name of each size on the bands.

Romeo y Julieta Petit Royales

Finally, the company confirmed the Romeo y Julieta Petit Royales, 3 3/4 (95mm) x 47.
