At last weekend’s Texas Cigar Festival, there was a new cigar from Altadis U.S.A.: H. Upmann Ingot The Banker Private Holding.

It’s a limited edition 6 x 54 extension to the H. Upmann The Banker line, but it’s strikingly different. The green boxes and bands are replaced by painted boxes designed to look like gold bars. This theme extends to the bands, which are also gold and joined by a golden foil covering on the bottom.

As for the cigar, it uses a criollo 98 wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers.

Production is limited to 4,500 boxes of eight cigars with a suggested retail pricing of $9.25 per cigar. The company expects to ship the cigars to additional retailers in May.
