Add Gran Habano to the list of companies raising its prices. The 2014 changes will add 25 cents to the MSRP of the vast majority of the company’s portfolio.

Exempt from the increases are three newer releases: GAR Red and the company’s STK American Puro and Barracuda, the latter of which are both made at the company’s operations in Miami.

The fact that those three releases are not part of the price increase is not surprising. Most companies generally avoid trying to raise prices on new products. In addition, the general explanation for the price increase is the cost of manufacturing and labor in Latin America.
