German Engineered Cigars, the company behind the RVGN Rauchvergnügen line, has announced its next blend, NN.

Short for non nominandum—or not named, alternatively, to be named—the line is being created for the consumer to focus on the cigar itself. As such, everything is quite minimal.

The first NN is NN01, a 7 x 48 Churchill that is being produced at Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic. In keeping with the idea that the consumers should focus on the cigar itself, the blend details are not being disclosed though the company says the cigar is “medium-bodied.” The packaging is also quite minimal and the company says there will be “no distracting story” for the cigars.

Pricing is set at $8.90 per cigar and it is limited to 200 boxes of 25 cigars. It is expected to begin shipping in January, and will only be available in the United States. Once NN01 is sold out, the company will create a new blend, “making NN a series of excellent and surprising cigars,” said Oliver Nickels, co-founder and chief cigar engineer of German Engineered Cigars GmbH.

RVGN Rauchvergnügen changed its company name earlier this year to German Engineered Cigars GmbH as it prepares to expand its brand in both Germany and the U.S. As the new name implies, the company was founded by German engineers.

Update (Feb. 4, 2021) — The company announced that the cigars have been delayed and will now be released in March.
