Garo Cigars, a boutique cigar company based out of Glendale, Calif., will be celebrating its 25th anniversary at the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show next month, and doing so with a new cigar.

The Garo Cigars 25th Anniversary Eternity Series features a blend that uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, Dominican olor binder and a Nicaraguan filler. The company calls it the “epitome of all the Garo Cigars blends” that have been released previously, adding that “it boasts a sophistication and elegance that are exclusive to the current Garo Cigars blends.”

The line is produced by Tabacalera Cinco Estrellas in Tamboril, Dominican Republic, and is being offered in three sizes:

  • Garo Cigars 25th Anniversary Eternity #4 (4 1/2 x 54) — $10.40 (Box of 25, $260)
  • Garo Cigars 25th Anniversary Eternity #5 (5 1/2 x 54) — $12 (Box of 25, $300)
  • Garo Cigars 25th Anniversary Eternity #4 (6 1/2 x 54) — $15.20 (Box of 25, $380)

“Twenty-five years marks a very special milestone for the company and it deserved a special cigar,” the company wrote in a press release. “The tobacco for this unique blend combines subtle spiciness with darker, classic nutty characteristics found in the very best of old Havana.”

Harout Bouldoukian of Garo Cigars told halfwheel that the plan is for the 25th Anniversary to be an ongoing, regular production release. He added that the cigars are in stock and will begin shipping immediately following the conclusion of the trade show, which runs from July 8 – 12.

At the trade show, Garo Cigars will also be releasing a new sampler that contains six of the company’s top blends: the Garo Blue Corona Gordo, 20th Anniversary Belicoso, 1887 Box Pressed Churchill, Edicion Limitada 2010 #6, Adamas A55 and Maduro Especial 560. It has an MSRP of $60.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
