Retailers were informed of a price increase for both Arturo Fuente and J.C. Newman that will go into effect in the month of January. Changes in the pricing for Fuente already went into effect on January 1, while J.C. Newman’s prices were changed last Tuesday, January 15.

A representative from the company told halfwheel certain lines were raised as much as 3-4%, but indicated it was not a simple across the board increase. Both companies are distributed by J.C. Newman. In 2012, prices were raised on a few lower-priced J.C. Newman brands.

Despite the wholesale increase, consumers may not immediately notice the change in prices as retailers work through older stock.
