Fratello Cigars has updated the packaging for its first two lines.

The boxes for the original Fratello line, now known as Classico, and the second line, Bianco, will look move from sliding lid boxes (SLB) to flip top boxes, similar to the company’s third line: Oro.

“We had envisioned this change a long time ago,” said Omar de Frias, the company’s founder, in a press release. “When our customers placed their orders, they would always refer to the original blend as the classic.”

Fratello is one of a number of companies updating packaging before new U.S. Food & Drug Administration warning label requirements go into effect on Aug. 10, 2018.

The new packaging will be on display at the 2018 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which begins July 13 in Las Vegas.
