In addition to its new Virtus FX-541, Fox Knives showed off an upcoming new cigar cutter at last week’s InterTabac 2024 trade fair in Dortmund, Germany.

It’s called The Circle, the Italian knife maker’s reimagination of a double guillotine cutter. Functionally, it’s like using a pair of scissors. There are two handles, each with a finger hole, that open and close the blades. However, the body of the cutter is circular and the blades move at angles that align with the body.

Fox showed off four different versions of the cutter, using various finishes for both the body and blades. Some had wood bodies, one had a carbon fiber finish; the are made of stainless steel, though some are PVD coated for a black appearance. The inside opening should accommodate cigars up to 54 ring gauge.

Depending on the model, the cutters will retail between $140-300.

Massimo Centazzo of Fox Knives told halfwheel that the company hopes to have the first shipment on sale in December as part of the holiday season, though the full launch of the cutter will take place in Q1 2025.
