Call it a comeback, times two.

Another limited Crowned Heads release from the past is coming back, this time, the company’s debut limited edition: the Four Kicks Mule Kick.

The Mule Kick is a special version of the Four Kicks blend using a darker Ecuadorian habano wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. It was released in a 5 7/8 x 52 toro size. Jon Huber, co-founder of Crowned Heads, told halfwheel the cigar is the same as the original in terms of the wrapper selection and the tweak to the filler blend.

Two things have changed. Pricing will be $9.90 per cigar compared to $8.95 for the original. The second one’s production has increased four-fold, as there will be 2,000 boxes of 10 cigars produced.

Huber says the company plans on shipping the cigars to retailers nationwide in late April.

Like the rest of the line, it is being produced at Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr.’s Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. in the Dominican Republic.

This is the second time in as many months the company has released a limited edition cigar from its past. Last month, it shipped a new batch of the Headley Grange Drumstick.
