A new line of flavored cigars from STG’s Forged Cigar Co. is scheduled to arrive on store shelves in early October.

Released under the name FLVR, the line has five cigars, all coming in a 5 x 42 corona vitola and priced at $4.49 per cigar and $112.25 per box of 25 cigars. The blends of the cigars are not being disclosed, though the company said that they use premium tobaccos and are hand-rolled.

As for the names and flavor profiles, the company described them this way:

  • FLVR Space Ranger Corona — A combination of chocolate and mint flavors with a hint of cherry for an ode to an ice cream sundae.
  • FLVR Fist Bump Corona — A profile reminiscent of frosted birthday cake.
  • FLVR Ski Chalet Corona — A caramel-flavored bomb with hints of cinnamon spice that gives a nod to fall.
  • FLVR Yacht Rock Corona — A booze-inspired smoke with notes of rum, simple sugar and cola.
  • FLVR Unicorn Tears Corona — A profile that evokes cookie dough and brown sugar.

“FLVR delivers an ‘intergalactic,’ out-of-this-world smoking experience,” said Ed Lahmann, senior brand manager of FLVR, via a press release. “Built on a bedrock of premium, hand-rolled tobaccos, FLVR layers in jaw-dropping flavor combinations that will make even the most jaded smoker rethink the flavored cigar category. What’s more is that FLVR hits the sweet spot of the smoker’s budget, offering a premium, flavored smoking experience in a price segment that’s been relatively untapped in the market until now.”

The new line will be a full-time addition to Forged Cigar Co.’s portfolio.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
