On Aug. 29, the U.S. market will receive a new Flor de Selva vitola, but it’s hardly new. In fact, it first debuted over 16 years ago.

The Flor de Selva El Figurado, a 6 x 29 x 49 x 43 perfecto, is heading to Underground Cigar Shop in Fort Worth, Texas. The company made 100 boxes of 10 for the store. The cigar is known in Europe as El Galán and was released in 1999 in limited quantities and then again two years ago for the company’s 18th anniversary. It has been available in Europe for the last two years, but Underground Cigar Shop will be the first, and as of now, only store in the U.S. to carry the cigar.

Due to trademark issues with the El Galán name, the company has had to rename the size to El Figurado.

It uses the Flor de Selva blend, a Honduran puro with a Honduran-grown Connecticut-seed wrapper.

Pricing for the El Figurado will be $11.99 per cigar.

Update (Aug. 25, 2015) — Maya Selva has announced that due to trademark issues, the cigar’s name will change from El Galan to El Figurado. This story was originally published on Aug. 20, 2015.
