The first cigar in Gellis Family Cigars’ Piece Unique series is heading to stores.

It’s a 6 x 52 toro that uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper from ASP over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. As with other cigars from Gellis Family Cigars—a new brand from Kyle Gellis, founder of Warped Cigars—it is made at TABACALERA LA iSLA in the Dominican Republic. Notably, the company says the cigars were aged for one year after rolling.

Each cigar has an MSRP of $40 and production is limited to 500 boxes of 15 cigars. Every box comes with a Piece Unique-branded ashtray.

A description from DROP Cigar Club, a retailer owned by Gellis, describes Piece Unique as “An experience of cream, vanilla, fruit, and an array of spices with a complexity and finesse.”

The name is another example of Gellis using the watch world as inspiration for his cigars. In horology, piece unique refers to a one-of-one watch, typically reserved for a brand’s most prized customers or charity auctions like Only Watch. In this case, there are 7,500 cigars that will be sold, so it won’t be a one-of-one cigar but it will be a one-and-done blend. A listing at DROP Cigar Club says that the “interior blend” will only be used once, hence the name.

While Gellis Family Cigars is described as a separate entity from Warped, the cigars are distributed by Warped.
