Favilli, Fabien Ziegler Announce Coffee & Cigars (Update)

After hints that their first collaborative project would likely involve cigars and coffee, Favilli and Fabien Ziegler have announced a new line called Coffee & Cigars.

The first release will ship as early as August and will be a package that includes 10 4 1/2 x 44 short corona cigars and a half pound (227 grams) of whole bean coffee from Segovia, Nicaragua. The cigars are described as Nicaraguan puros. As you might expect, the coffee and cigars are made to pair with one another. Notably, the cigars and coffee will be packaged together, a press release says “the cigars are nestled in loose coffee.”

“I am very excited to bring this product to market,” said Ziegler in a press release. “We have introduced an unconventional style where the very typical Coffee & Cigars pairing is not-so-typical, & traditional products have a not-so-traditional spin. Even the standard use of a name & slogan is trumped by a conversation starter rather than a title. The coffee & cigars released for this Summer solstice are a call to action to those we have friendships with & those new friendships we look forward to. So, ‘Come Around Friends, Enjoy!’, and lets celebrate Nicaragua’s best: Coffee & Cigars!”

Ziegler mentions the summer solstice, the Coffee & Cigars line will be released twice per year: the summer solstice and winter solstice.

The first release has an MSRP of $155 and is limited to 650 units.

Ziegler is best known for his time with Drew Estate, where he served as the director of consumer engagement, as well as in various sales and marketing roles, largely in support of the company’s popular ACID line. He would often host events around the world to promote Drew Estate’s brands. In total he spent 19 years with Drew Estate before leaving the company in October 2019.

Update (Aug. 3, 2022) — The company announced that the project will be called “Come Around Friends, Enjoy!” •C• and will be arriving in US stores during the last week of August, while Canadian retailers will have them during the first week of September.
