Federal Cigar turns 97 this year and as is often the case, the New Hampshire-based retailer is celebrating with an exclusive cigar and a birthday party in March.

My Father will once again make the exclusive cigar, this time a 5 1/2 x 54 belicoso version of the My Father Le Bijou 1922 Connecticut, the fifth such size for the line, which is an exclusive to Federal.

Pricing is set at $9.49 per cigar and it is offered in boxes of 23. Only 100 boxes are being offered for sale.

Federal’s 97th birthday celebration begins tonight at its Portsmouth location and continues tomorrow at its Epping store.

Janny García and José Ortega of My Father will be in attendance as well as Pete Johnson, K.C. Johnson and Dan Welsh of Tatuaje/L’Atelier and Steve and Cindy Saka of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust.

The Epping location (603.679.2447) will take phone orders for those interested.
