A second batch of Espinosa Premium Cigars’ Wasabi is slated to arrive at retailers late next month, according to a post on one of the company’s Facebook groups.
The Wasabi, which was originally released in the second half of 2016 as part of eight new cigars added to the company’s Backroom Series for its nine branded lounges. It’s described as a “spicy candela” by the company, with Hector Alfonso, Sr. responsible for the blend, though no specific blend components have been disclosed. Alfonso is the company’s director of operations.
It retains its 5 x 52 box-pressed robusto vitola and has an MSRP of $7.95 per cigar. A total of 500 boxes of 10 cigars are being produced by Espinosa’s La Zona Cigar Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. While the cigar was launched as part of The Backroom Series, this second release will be available to all Espinosa retailers and not just the branded lounges, according to Alfonso.
While a specific shipping date is not yet available, Alfonso said he expects it to begin shipping in the second half of March.
