Espinosa Premium Cigars has announced that Fernando Zacarias has been named the company’s national sales manager. He has already assumed the duties and is currently on the road visiting accounts. According to the company Zacarias will “spearhead Espinosa’s efforts to consolidate outside salesmen and Espinosa brokers throughout the United States.”

“My aim here is simple, to introduce, re-introduce and promote all of Erik’s portfolios,” said Zacarias in a statement provided to halfwheel. “Introduce Espinosa Habano, Espinosa Maduro and our new Laranja Reseva lines; re-introduce the classics such as 601 and La Bomba; and promote not only the core lines and our upcoming limited selections (such as the Backroom Series) but Erik himself and our factory, La Zona.”

Zacarias does not have a background in the premium cigar business, but rather has worked in national sales for other industries.

“Fernando is a perfect fit for our family business,” said founder Erik Espinosa. “He’s family oriented, a passionate cigar smoker and a friend. I told him to keep a suitcase packed, I need him out there doing his thing and giving me 100%, the same thing I ask from everyone here. “
