Epic Cigars is soon going to be available in more than just the U.S., as the cigar company recently signed distribution agreements for both Europe and Canada.

In Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland, Epic will be distributed by Zigarrenfabrik Kleinlagel. This will include the Epic Maduro, Epic Corojo and Epic Habano blends. However, according to owner Dean Parsons, the Epic Habano line will have to be rebranded, as many countries forbid the Habano label on cigars. The new distribution agreement means potential access to more than 500 retailers in several countries.

“This new partnership and international distribution is really a game changer for Epic,” wrote Parsons in an email to halfwheel. “I’m humbled to say the least.  It’s something that I did not see coming this early in our growth although we have been producing an excess of cigars in all blends from day one so we have aging inventory ready to ship when the demand came.”

In Canada, Epic will be distributed by Alec Bradley Canada.

According to Parsons, all three blends will ship to Canada “at the end of August.” In addition, the Epic Maduro and Corojo blends will ship to Europe in September while the rebranded Epic Habano will ship before the end of the year.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
