Three years ago, Black Label Trading Co. took over the product development for Emilio and the first new product to come from that relationship was an updated Emilio Suave line. Now, the company is adding a Suave Maduro to as a core line to Emilio’s lineup.

It will use an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan habano binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The company says it will begin shipping the line, which will debut in three sizes, later this summer:

  • Emilio Suave Maduro Robusto (5 x 50) — $10 (Box of 20, $200)
  • Emilio Suave Maduro Toro (6 x 50) — $10.50 (Box of 20, $210)
  • Emilio Suave Maduro Churchill (7 x 48) — $10.50 (Box of 20, $210)

“Suave has been a staple in the Emilio line since the beginning,” said James Brown, owner of Black Label Trading Co., in a press release. “With the success of the Connecticut Suave over the years, we felt it was time to expand the line and add a Maduro version. The Maduro Suave is a medium bodied, medium strength and full of both flavor and complexity.”

Brown is credited with not only blending the cigar but also designing the artwork.

The Suave Maduro will be shown off at the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place July 9-12 in Las Vegas.
