As of April 15, smoking in, on and around municipal property in Elizabeth, N.J. will carry a $100 fine. A new smoking ordinance passed unanimously and was singed into law by Major J. Christian Bollwage yesterday.

Bollwage has his own motives for the ban, he recently underwent vocal cord surgery and has been instructed to avoid all smoke.
