While Elie Bleu has already previewed its 2025 Chinese zodiac calendar humidor, the 2024 zodiac collection is just beginning to arrive at U.S. stores.
Late last month, Rëyns International—the French accessory company’s American distributor—began shipping the Year of the Dragon collection. Its name refers to the symbol on the Chinese zodiac calendar: 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, while the Year of the Snake will begin on Jan. 29.
There are a variety of dragon-themed items, the most expensive is the Elie Bleu Year of the Dragon 2024 humidor uses red sycamore, bubinga and mother of pearl. It’s rated for 250 cigars and measures 23.11 inches x 12.91 inches x 5.91 inches.
The MSRP is set at $11,000 per humidor and production is limited to up to 888 units. Eight is a lucky number in China, which is why so many items are limited to some sort of number ending in -8.
There are also two different cigar cases: the two-cigar case is priced at $580 and the three-cigar case is priced at $720. Both cases can store cigars up to 64-ring gauge.
There are three different Year of the Dragon Ashtrays, all of which are made of porcelain in Limoges, France.
The least expensive is $760 and measures 7.8 inches x 6.34 inches x 1.42 inches. It’s designed to hold two cigars and comes with Elie Bleu’s gold bridge cigar holders, which aren’t pictured.
There’s a larger four-cigar ashtray that measures 8.86 inches x 8.86 inches x 1.5 inches. It’s priced at $950 and is limited to 88 pieces.
The highest-end option is priced at $1,900. It’s a two-cigar ashtray, the same size as the $760 ashtray, but unlike the other two, it is handpainted. It too is limited to 88 pieces.
Elie Bleu is offering its J-15 torch lighter and C-4 Cutter in Year of the Dragon paint schemes. Both models are priced at $240 and are limited to 888 pieces.
Finally, the company has created a leather-wrapped version of its table lighter. It’s priced at $1,025 and is limited to 888 pieces.
