On Monday, July 15, General Cigar Co. will begin shipping the new El Titan de Bronze Redemption.
It’s the newest collaboration between General Cigar Co.—one of the largest cigar companies in the world—and El Titan de Bronze, a small factory in Miami. This is not the first time the companies have teamed up, but this one is different in a number of ways. First, unlike the past limited edition releases, it’s a regular production item. Second, Redemption is actually an El Titan de Bronze-owned brand.
The blend uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over tobaccos from Nicaragua: a binder from Estelí and fillers from Jalapa and Estelí.
It is offered in three sizes:
- El Titan de Bronze Redemption Robusto (5 x 50) — $16.99
- El Titan de Bronze Redemption Corona (5 5/8 x 46) — $15.99
- El Titan de Bronze Redemption Toro (6 x 52) — $17.99
“This is the right time, with the right people, and I feel so confident in them. After so many years, so much hard work with my family, this is the first time we will be able to get the amazing work of our artisans to people all over the country,” said Cobas in a press release when the cigar was announced in March. “It started with the Cohiba project, and now, to be going to the show with General Cigar, sitting at a table with the big players where I always wanted to be, I’m so excited. This turned out so well, and I’m thrilled that more people will get to experience a new Redemption and the work of El Titán de Bronze.”
In the past, El Titan de Bronze has made limited edition releases for General’s Cohiba and Partagas brands.
