El Septimo has announced that it will be opening its second retail store and lounge next month in Hollywood.

The lounge will be located at 5403 Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles, which is currently the home of ASH, a membership-based cigar lounge that offers an environment conducive to working for those who aren’t tied down to a traditional office, as well a space to welcome those looking to have a cigar in the company of fellow creatives, freelancers and entrepreneurs.

A spokesperson for El Septimo told halfwheel that the company has purchased the lounge and will be rebranding it as El Septimo Hollywood. It is currently scheduled to open as El Septimo Hollywood on Jan. 21, 2023. Like the first lounge that was opened in September and is located in the company’s headquarters in Woodland Hills, Calif., this location will have a membership component. Applications will become available in January, and members will have access to all El Septimo lounges worldwide. Beyond the Woodland Hills location, El Septimo has lounges in Europe and the Middle East.

“We are on schedule of meeting our ambitious plan of opening 30 El Septimo Cigar Lounges, whether that may be by rebranding existing lounges into El Septimo Official Lounges, or the alternative, which is to open our own retail locations,” said Zaya Younan, ceo of El Septimo Cigars. He added that his preference is to work with existing retailers as he sees the connection between the store and the brand as helping boost retail sales.

Also like the first location, this new lounge in Hollywood will only offer El Septimo cigars, which currently stands at a portfolio of over 42 different blends. The lounge will also offer the brand’s full line of cigar accessories as well as its spirits and wines.

The company said that it is currently focused on plans to launch additional lounges in Florida, Chicago and Arizona, and is planning to announce its next lounge in two months.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
