Turns out My Father’s TAA release will ship about before Tatuaje’s.

Janny García, vp of My Father Cigars, Inc., told halfwheel the company has shipped the El Centurion H-2K-CT, a 6 1/2 x 52 box-pressed torpedo, that is exclusive to members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA).

The release is the third size for the El Centurion H-2K-CT line, which debuted last year. It uses a Cuban-seed wrapper grown in Connecticut over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers.

There are only 1,400 boxes of 20 produced with a suggested retail price $10 per cigar.

The TAA consist of around 80 retailers. The group meets once per year to discuss issues facing the industry and to host a trade show. Many manufacturers also produce exclusive releases under TAA’s ESP program, which also helps to provide funding for the group.

TAA releases from  CLECrowned HeadsDrew EstateLa Flor DominicanaLa PalinaPadrón and Nat Sherman have already shipped. Tatuaje’s TAA release is scheduled to begin shipping on Monday, the final for the 2016 program.
