Eden Prairie has become the 19th town in Minnesota to raise the minimum age to purchase tobacco to 21.

Tuesday night, the Eden Prairie City Council voted to raise the minimum age to 21.

Eden Prairie is located 12 miles southwest of Minneapolis, which raised the minimum age to purchase tobacco to 21 this October. It has a population around 60,000.
