Null

The first 350 boxes of E.P. Carrillo’s INCH Limitada are on their way to retailers, according to an announcement from the company today.

The cigar, which measures 6 1/8 x 64 is the first INCH release to wear a limitada band. Measuring a true inch in diameter, it wears a Connecticut habano wrapper grown in the United States, while the binder and filler are both from Nicaragua. It is priced at $15 per cigar and $150 for a box of 10.

The company still has 1,650 boxes left to ship, a process that will occur over the next three weeks, Lissette Perez-Carrillo told halfwheel, which means the new cigar should be on all shelves by early October.

E.P. Carrillo introduced the INCH line in 2012, and in the seven years since its debut has seen several line extensions, including the INCH Maduro, INCH Colorado and INCH Ringmaster,  as well as an INCH Short Run. It is made at Tabacalera La Alianza S.A., the company’s factory in the Dominican Republic.

About the author

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. I previously covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
