At the recent Inter-tabac trade show in Dortmund, Germany, E.P. The E.P. Carrillo New Wave Reserva uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over Connecticut broadleaf binder and a filler blend from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic to create a medium-bodied profile. Expected at retail by the end of September, it is being offered in four sizes, a robusto (5 x 50), toro (6 x 52), Supremo (5 1/8 x 56) and Inmensos (6 x 60). MSRP is set to be between $6.65 and $8.60 per cigar, with each size coming in 24-count boxes.

E P Carrillo Cabinet

The E.P. Carrillo Cabinet uses the same Nicaraguan corojo 99 wrapper found on the INCH C-99, along with a binder from the Dominican Republic and filler from Nicaragua. It too will come in four sizes, a robusto (5 x 50), toro (6 x 52),  Supremos Extra (5 7/8 x 56) , and a wide toro (6 x 60). Single stick MSRPs range from $6.30 to $8.30, with each size coming in 25-count boxes. It is expected to be on European retailers’ shelves in October.

Both cigars are made at the company’s Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and are being limited to an initial shipment of 200 boxes, according to a report on Cigar Aficionado
