Warped Cigars’ Kyle Gellis has another project: DROP.

Gellis has linked to a new website, cigardrop.club, which hosts his new DROP concept. The project allows consumers to purchase cigars directly from Gellis, though none of the cigars sold will be offered outside DROP. In an email, he told halfwheel that membership is both free and not capped, though each release will be limited and there’s a possibility that not every member will be able to purchase every release.

A brief description on the website describes the concept:

DROP is the members only epicenter to the hyper limited™ projects of Kyle Gellis® crafted at El Titan de Bronze in the historic neighborhood of Little Havana in Miami. Back in 2006 when Kyle began his journey into the world of tobacco and premium cigars it began at El Titan de Bronze crafting a few hundred cigars a month for direct to consumer purchasing. The members of DROP will have access to these blends that have never been released before in small productions as a remembrance to Kyle’s original days at El Titan de Bronze.

Currently, there are no available cigars for purchase and the website indicates the next one will not be made available until February.

Update (Dec. 13, 2018) — Gellis responded to questions, more details added.

I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media, LLC. I previously co-founded and published TheCigarFeed, one of the two predecessors of halfwheel. I have written about the cigar industry for more than a decade, covering everything from product launches to regulation to M&A. In addition, I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here at halfwheel. I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
