As an exclusive treat for visitors to the Drew Estate Lounge at Corona Cigar Co.’s Sand Lake location in Orlando, Fla., Drew Estate has released a new size for six of its popular lines to the store.

It’s a 6 x 50 toro vitola, all coming with in a pressed style and all in boxes of 20. On the infused side is the The Tabak Especial Negra Soft Press ($8.50 per cigar, $152.95 per box), Tabak Especial Dulce Cuadrado Soft Press ($8.50 per cigar, $152.95) and Natural Cuadrado Soft Press ($8 per cigar, $145.95 per box), all of which get what the company calls a soft press.

It’s a much squarer box press for the non-infused releases, which include the Herrera Esteli Box Press ($10 per cigar, $179.95 per box), Liga Privada No. 9 Box Press ($16 per cigar, $287.95 per box) and Undercrown Box Press ($9, $161.95 per box).

A representative at Corona Cigar Co.’s Sand Lake store equated the press on the infused cigars to that found on the regular production Herrera Esteli line, while the non-infused cigars get a much sharper press akin to those found on the company’s Java line.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
