One for now, one for later.

That is the concept with the new ACID Croqueta, a single tubo that contains two 2 1/2 x 50 parejo cigars. It uses a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Croqueta uses the purple infusion, which is used on cigars like Extra Ordinary Larry.

“We are just starting to kick off the party for the 20th Anniversary of ACID,” said Jonathan Drew, the company’s co-founder, in a press release. “Bringing back Croqueta is a nod to our roots, while we drove the legendary ACID brand forward for over 20 years, ACID has been by our side for retailers and consumers alike, a trusted friend.”

Pricing is set at $8.40 per tubo, or $4.20 per cigar, and it is sold in a bundle of 25 tubos containing 50 cigars.

It will be shown off at next week’s Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) Meeting & Convention in Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic. However, it’s not a TAA exclusive and will ship to retailers nationwide in mid-April.
