If there was an unexpected resurgence of a particular brand in 2017, it was Drew Estate’s Isla del Sol.

At last year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, Isla del Sol received a massive uptick in orders and now there’s a new size and a new wrapper offering.

The regular Isla del Sol line, which uses an Indonesian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers, will receive a new size in the form of a Gordito. The 6 x 60 size is priced at $5.72 per cigar and offered in boxes of 16.

In addition, the Isla del Sol family will receive a maduro line. It uses Nicaraguan fillers over an undisclosed maduro filler.

  • Isla del Sol Maduro Robusto (5 x 52) — $5 (Boxes of 10, $50)
  • Isla del Sol Maduro Toro (6 x 52) — $5.40 (Boxes of 10, $54)
  • Isla del Sol Maduro Gran Corona (5 x 44) — $4.60 (Boxes of 10, $46)
  • Isla del Sol Maduro Churchill (7 x 50) — $5.80 (Boxes of 10, $58)

Both lines feature a sweet tip and a coffee infusion. Drew Estate describes the regular Isla del Sol as one of the mildest offerings in its portfolio.

The company says it will begin shipping both cigars in September.
