`Fans of the Herrera Estelí family of lines can expect a variety of new looks for the Drew Estate cigars.
The company has announced that it will add a variety of new packaging options for retailers including 28-count trays for all sizes, a 75-count tray for the Lonsdale Deluxe, Robusto Grande and Toro Especial sizes and 25-count bundles for the line.
While the company’s press release didn’t specify a reason for the change, it’s likely to help reduce costs and improve the presence in retail humidor. The cigars have previously only been sold in 10-count boxes. Those 10-count boxes will still be available and retailers will be able to restock the larger display packaging with 25-count bundles.
In addition, consumers looking to take home a larger box will have three new options.
There will be 50-count humidor boxes for the Lonsdale Deluxe (6 1/2 x 44, $550), Robusto Grande (4 3/4 x 48, $600) and Toro Especial (6 x 50, $575) sizes. The humidors all include 50 cigars and are designed to work with Boveda humidification systems. The company said the humidors are limited, but did not specify to what extent.
No ship date was given for the any of the new packaging options.
The new items will be on display at this week’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which begins July 17 in New Orleans, La. Earlier today, the company announced it would also debut the Herrera Estelí Norteño Edicion Limitada.
