Downers Grove, Ill. Bans Smoking at Parks

Smoking at parks, athletic fields and playgrounds is now banned in Downers Grove, Ill.

Downers Grove Golf Club, a publicly-owned golf course, has banned smoking everywhere except on the course. Smoking is also banned at Belmont Prairie, Fishel Park and Lyman Woods.

Downers Grove is a suburb of Chicago and has a population around 50,000.
