My Father’s TAA release has arrived in stores.

The Don Pepin Garcia Original TAA Exclusive Limited Edition 2019, a 6 x 54 toro extra, has begun arriving at retailers who are members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA). The cigar is a Nicaraguan puro, though unlike the rest of the Don Pepin Garcia line, it is made in the My Father Cigars S.A. factory as opposed to the El Rey de Los Habanos factory in Miami.

The TAA is a fairly small group of some of the country’s top tobacconists, about 80 retailers as well as 40 or so manufacturers. The association gathers annually to discuss issues facing the industry and retailers, as well as to have its annual trade show, a unique event that works on a group buying format in order to secure exclusive deals for these generally high-volume merchants.

This year 11 companies released exclusives for TAA stores: A.J. FernándezCLE, Crowned HeadsE.P. Carrillo, General Cigar Co.J.C. Newman, La Flor DominicanaLa Palina, My FatherNat Sherman and Tatuaje.

A representative for My Father did not respond to an email seeking comment.
