At next month’s PCA Convention & Trade Show, Dissident Cigars will release its first new cigar since the company changed ownership late last year.

The Dissident Molotov is a 5 x 50 robusto that uses an Ecuadorian rojiso wrapper over an Ecuadorian binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic as well as Estelí and Ometepe, Nicaragua. As evident in pictures, it will feature an artful finish to the cigar’s cap. The MSRP is set at $12 per cigar and it is limited to 500 boxes of 20 cigars. Molotov is expected to arrive in stores in late July or early August.

In a post on its Instagram, Dissident says the cigar will be offered first to retailers who place orders at the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place July 9-12 in Las Vegas, before other stores will have a chance to purchase the cigar.

“The Limited Edition Molotov is an explosion into what’s to come for Dissident. New cigars, flavor profiles, & edgy designs are all ahead for this brand,” said Cynn Coburn, Dissident’s co-owner, in a press release. Coburn is also featured in the artwork for the release.

Coburn and her husband, Joshua, purchased Dissident Cigars late last year. This is the first new release from the company since the Coburns purchased the company. Dissident continues to make its cigars, including the new Molotov, at Fábrica Oveja Negra in Nicaragua and its cigars are distributed by Oveja Negra Brands.
