The Dissident Molotov is making a return this week, as brand owner Cynn Coburn announced that a new batch of the cigars are in stock and ready to ship to retailers.

Like the debut version that came out in 2022, it is once again a 5 x 50 robusto with what the company calls a mild-to-medium profile that uses an Ecuadorian rojiso wrapper, an Ecuadorian binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. It is produced at Fábrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua, the factory that is home to Black Label Trading Co.

“The limited edition Molotov sold out quickly upon its original release and has since been requested constantly from fans and retailers alike,” said Coburn in a press release. “We kept everyone waiting long enough; it’s time to set the world on fire once again with this badass cigar that’s full of flavor and attitude!”

Pricing is set at $12.50 per cigar and $250 for a box of 20 cigars, which features Coburn in its artwork. Production on the Molotov is limited, but just how many cigars have been produced has not been disclosed.

Molotov was the first cigar released after Coburn and her husband, Joshua, purchased the Dissident brand in December 2021.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
