A new Edición Regional for Canada will make its debut this evening in Toronto, as the distribution company Havana House hosts its 30th anniversary celebration with a private party for Canadian tobacconists, the Cuban Ambassador and Cuban Consulate.
The Diplomáticos Nortenos Edición Regional is a 4 7/8 (124mm) x 50 ring gauge robusto, a size that is has been used dozens of times throughout Habanos S.A.’s portfolio for both regular production and limited release cigars. It appears to be the same size as the Diplomáticos Excelencia, an Edición Regional created for Cuba in 2015, as well as numerous other popular cigars such as the Cohiba Robustos, Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 and Partagás Serie D No.4, among others.
A total of 6,000 individually numbered boxes of 10 cigars are being produced, and while taxes differ between provinces, the cigar will retail for approximately 40 Canadian dollars in Ontario ($30.75) when it arrives at retailers. The three La Casa del Habanos locations in the country will have the cigar exclusively beginning on Thursday through Sept. 19, followed by a release to Habanos Specialist stores, who will have an exclusive on it through Oct. 3. It will then head to all remaining retailers across the country.
This marks the 10th Edición Regional release for Canada, dating back to 2007:

- Ramón Allones Petit Unicos (5 x 50) — 2009
