A bit later than expected, the Diesel Fool’s Errand trilogy is coming to an end.
Earlier this week, General Cigar Co. began shipping the Diesel Worthy Fool, the third release in the limited edition Diesel Fool’s Errand trilogy that began in 2022. This cigar is a 5 x 58 perfecto that uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan habano tobaccos for both the binder and filler. Like other Diesel cigars, it is made by Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A.
The MSRP is set at $9.99 per cigar. Production numbers have not been disclosed.
“When we started this project, our goal was for fans to enjoy not just the cigars but the interactive experience as well,” said Joe Krzyston, assistant brand manager for Diesel Cigars. “Justin and A.J. delivered another masterpiece to complete the trilogy. You’d be a fool to miss out on this one.”
The series began in March 2022 with the launch of the Diesel Stubborn Fool. Nearly a year later, the Diesel Simple Fool was released. All three cigars in the Fool’s Errand Trilogy are 5 x 58 perfectos, but the blends have differed. While The Stubborn Fool uses a broadleaf wrapper, both the Simple Fool and Worthy Fool use an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper.
Another consistent part of the trilogy has been that consumers who buy boxes can enter a contest. Each 10-count box comes with a QR code, which takes you to the Diesel website. On the website, there are riddles that can be solved; upon solving, you are entered into a giveaway. Winners will be announced in January.
Diesel is sold by Forged Cigar Co., a sister company to General Cigar Co.
